The Matrix

This movie was one of the greatest movies we have watched. I really enjoy the fighting scenes even though some people call it "corny". I cant wait to see the sequels even though people say they are no where as good. I though this movie really shows a different point of view of our lives. What if we are part of an imaginary world. What if we have to break free of our world so we can move into the real world. I would say its pretty kool just to think about, what if we can bend the rules in our world. This movie really makes want to think outside the box, maybe the reason why we have break in, for example like bank robberies, what if people out of the matrix are breaking in for something good, rather than just the money. There was scenes from the movie where they break in into some kind of milarary building, and the two main character shoot every person inside, we should feel sorry for these people having to serve but instead in the movie we are rooting for them to die. i just say theres a different point of thinking in this movie.

Brazil

Well where should i start let see Brazil such an odd pretty much let say different type of movie, the plot was so hard to follow that i couldn't understand why there were random men falling out of the sky and taking you away in a bag... Brazil was uninteresting because i heard it would've of been funny but it wasn't the jokes or weird things that happened weren't funny at all they were pretty stupid if you ask me. I thought it was weird when Sam would randomly dream of himself where he has wings and a girl name Jill pops in there and he always is trying to fine her... but overall i should give this movie 2 out of 5.

Artificial Intelligance: A.I

i thought this movie was good i thought at first it was going to be a long boring movie that would go no where, but i actually liked it i felt like the director made you feel the pain of david with no one loving him. i really enjoyed the ending because he finally got what he wanted and he finally was put to rest, it was such a happy ending instead of a sad one. i was happy that it was not a sad one because then i would have felt bad for david if he went on such a crazy adventure to become a real boy and then he gets nothing out of it, that would be awful.

Blade Runner

This movie to me was kind of bad i did not really get what was happening because there were these weird things to test you and people going crazy. I think it was weird how the replicants were going nuts when they died or when they were trying to kill you, especially Roy the main "Android" who killed many people. I thought it was cool how blade runners love interest, Rachel, was able to live because the origami man was the only one (maybe) to know that they were both relicants but yet they both got away safely without dying, but eventually they will expire.

Soylent Green

This movie has been one of the least sci-fi movies I have least enjoyed just because theres no action involved, example like future gadgets, I'm guessing I'm more interested in that kind of stuff. This movie was more about sending a message to the world. Instead of the world being all high tech, its actually worse than the great depression, just because the future is suppose to become better than years before. Basically the message in this movie is that us humans are ruining the world and we are going to loose a lot of our resources. Not does only give that message but it also shows that our world is going to overpopulate. I would agree to what the message is saying but not 100%. I don't think our world is going to end because of the population, I believe the world is going to end with hate, and from there all the killings are just going to ruin our resources and end up worse than the great depression or maybe extinction.

Planet Of The Apes

This movie was yet the best movie I have ever seen in a while, it really makes me want to get the sequel to this movie. There is just so much I can write about this movie but Ill make this one short. This movie starts off with 4 astronomers in space. Something happens that makes them come straight down to a planet, they crash into this sea close to the dessert. Automatically one of them dies because of age, time in space is much shorter than it is on a planet. The rest of the three must abandoned ship before they get sunk in with it. They travel to find any sign of life, in their first time on a planet after a 20 century time period. Not sure of what they are going to find, they discover people stealing their clothe, when they were enjoying their discovery of a small water fall, they chase right after them, and they find more humans around a crop field, they soon find out that these humans aren't smart at all. Out of no where they hear a loud roar, all the humans start running as there were to be a stampede. The three astronomers do the same they start running, and they find out they were being hunted, by thats not what surprised them the most, the surprising thing was that they were being hunted by apes. In the end it comes down to the truth, one must find out the truth, this truth might not be truth the main character (Taylor) really wants to find out. The end has the greatest truth that made Taylor feel like there is no hope for the future.
This movie brings up many thought to my head like racism, evolution, and reality? First I think this movie had the message of racism, the director use his message in a good creative way, instead of making this movie with color people, he used it with a different species, for example the apes. The Apes wanting no human to learn more then they already know, they were basically our kind of animals, no communications skills and no thoughts of learning. When th apes found out that Taylor could talk, nobody wanted to believe that he was intelligent, they thought it was part of a scheme. I would bring this up back to the days before Martin Luther King Jr. , African Americans weren't allowed to do anything with the whites because according to the white they were to stupid or a waste of space. This movie showed that is was stupid to believe that one must be stupid if they are different than others, I really liked how this movie kind of sent of a message. Two, evolution is hugely brought up in this movie, according to the movie, humans destroyed the world with all the fighting, since then primates evolved to become better and smarter about life. I believe the reason why apes treated the humans like animals and not forced them not to learn anything more then they already know is because, if humans were to start learning and gain power, they might destroy the world all over again with their discovering of improved technology. Three, reality, i believe things like this may happen, I know it sounds crazy but once in our world, only animals were living on this earth, they were the ones that had complete power, then soon evolution came around and humans starting learning about new ways of improving life. So now here we are discovering many new things, we might just end the world before "global warming" destroys the world. After human life reducing to extinction, a new set of life is going to form, who knows maybe apes will evolve to be smarter than us about life, just like this movie Planet Of The Apes.

2001 Space Odyssey

This movie is seriously one of the most bizarre films I have seen for a while now. It really caught me off guard, I was expecting more of a interacting with aliens because mostly every sci-fi movie interacts with the new discovery. This movie did more of a evolution discovery. In the beginning of the movie the first living organism that are introduce are primates. They act like any other primates now in time, but when a primate touches the monolith that apears it seem like by touching it he because more intelligent. why? because soon the primate learns a tool, this tool is a weapon. He finds the remaining bones of an animal and he uses one bone and starts smashing the rest of the bones on the ground. With this new discovery he goes back to where all the primates are at, and he uses this bone as a weapon and uses to kill another primate. Throughout this movie what struck me most is this monolith. There are three monolith through this movie and thats what surprise me becuase each one of them was use differently in my opinion. Each time there was a new one it was just harder and harder to understand.

After that act with the primate, the rest of them scenes take most on space. They are on this ship and they are on a mission. There seems to be no emotion through out all the characters that were in the movie. I started to realize this because, 1. There is not much dialogue in this movie, so it was easier to catch one. 2. Sam Lewis stated something that I strongly agree, there was a scene where a man was talking to his daughter from a long distance web cam talk, either the daughter and father said any emotion through the talk, not even an "I Love You". There seems to be no emotion until someone, or this something called the Hal 9,000. It's this robot that is charger of pretty much everything that works around there. At one point the main character feel like they don't need him/it around because they don't feel like its on their side, so they're at a point where Hal 9,000 isn't able to hear anything they are saying so they star planning on how they are going to get rid of him by disconnecting him. But Hal 9,000 is much smarter than they think he is, they didn't know that Hal 9,000 can read their lips, so what Hal 9,000 does is keep it to himself until both characters leave out of the ship and into space with their small spaceship, then is where Hal 9,000 does a move that ends up cutting the oxygen going through the person actually outside the spaceship causing a death. The last man in the small spaceship order Hal 9,000 to open the door, it is then when Hal 9,000 tells him he knows that they were trying to get rid of him, so he shunned him and doesn't open the door to the bigger spaceship(everyone else sleeping in the bigger ship died). So i start thinking about how we are to dependent on robots/machines. We might need to have a limit to where we stop building new/lazy working machines that do jobs for us. So what the main character does is, bust in and completely bring him down, as you can see on the left picture, thats where he disconnected everything that has to do with Hal 9,000.
