The Day The Earth Stood Still

I believe this movie might have been one of the movies I have been more excited to keep on watching just because I put myself like if i were to be in that time period and not in the present. Watching a movie like this was really interesting because many thought came to my head. One would be, How would I react if i was part of the army and I just saw this alien? In the movie it seems like the army was very astonish by this alien and when the alien said he came in peace, they still had all their firearms up and pointing and then one of them felt threaten and shot the alien. After they took him to the hospital everyone was pretty chill that he was there. I think if I were to be part of the army i would go insane and try to kill it or capture just because he comes from somewhere else, if we cant go and live on mars because we wont survive, that means this creature that came from out there must be powerful than us normal human beings.


The movie we watched after was pretty much what i would have done in the movie before. In this movie they discover a UFO and an alien. The scientist goes crazy because he wasnt to explore the new discovery of mankind, but not everyone agrees with him, some want to destroy this alien. In the pevious movie the alien was good, in this case the alien was bad. So again i would do what they did, destroy it before it destroys us. I would not compare this movie with The Day The Earth Stood Still because this movie wasnt as good, in my opinion. This movie was based more on the decision of making the world in danger. It was more descision fights than actaully with the alien itself. I think the purpose of this movie was to show people that if ever in life planet earth discovers something, it just might be kept a secret, and this secret might make us safer or it just might end our lives.
